Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are diseases that involve critical medical disorders in eating behaviors believed to come from a combination of pressures on the environment. These disorders are characterized by an intense fear of fat, which does not disappear even when the person loses weight in extreme amounts. The three most common types of eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia, and disorders of bulimia. Another feeding behavior, emotional power, is also listed as an eating disorder.

Most people who have eating disorders are plagued by family and significant social problems. They are not capable of other nutrients found in dairy products may increase the action of the weight of calcium regulation.

More recent data in a study of weight change from 12 years for males, however, does not support theory that increasing dietary calcium or dairy foods lead to a decrease in weight long-term men.

Although more research is needed, the best recommendation at this point is that if you try to lose or maintain weight loss, not to eliminate dairy from your diet, substitute nonfat (skim) or low-fat dairy products for other beverages and foods in your diet to improve nutrition, and perhaps to help you manage weight.
